Spain IS in the western hemisphere, mostly.

So maybe John wasn't as wrong and off base as he sounded at first. Though Spain certainly isn't in the same region as Latin America. I wonder how long till someone uses this as an excuse for his bumbling response to misinterpreting the Miami reporter's question.

Well, according to Wikianswers: Little Diomede Island off the west coast of Alaska is only 2.5 miles from Russia's Big Diomede Island. But at the same time, Little Diomede has a population of a mere 170 people and Sarah Palin ain't one of them.
