Tears in McCain's left eye
I forced myself to watch McCain on ABC's This Week with George Stephanopoulos. McCain had his left side toward the camera, which was unusual since that is his "bad" side.
Moreover, his left eye was bloodshot and kept welling with tears almost to the point where a tear would fall. Then the camera would cut away to George, and when the camera went back to McCain the eye would be dry, but still bloodshot.
Did anybody else notice this? Is this just a case of pink eye, or is it possibly something more serious. I know that there were concerns that his left eye was droopy a few days ago. Is there an ophthalmologist who might give us a long range opinion?

I noticed that McCain's face looked odd when he gave his speech about "suspending" his campaign. His right eye looked frozen and non-functional, and his left eye drooped slightly. A radio host here in Minneapolis noticed the same thing and wondered on-air if McCain might possibly have had a small stroke recently.
I've compared video of McCain's suspension speech with earlier video, and there does appear to be a marked difference in the left side of his face.
As someone who's been suffering horribly with allergies for the past month, I can sympathize with anyone whose eyes are bloodshot. But this seems to be something else.
Here's one thing that's certain: the guy's health is lousy. If he's elected, I'd say there's a better than 50% chance Sarah Palin will be president. That is just about the most terrifying thought I can imagine.

Yes, the eye has some issue. There had been a "bag" under it all last week until the debate..too big for makeup to cover...but yesterday it was back again....HuffPo had a post on it as well...something is going on there...the left eye wanders a bit too.

If you read the actuary tables for the type of Malignant Melanoma that McCain has at his age, there's a better than 50% chance - that chance goes down to zero, however, when Obama wins in a landslide.

He's had extensive surgery on his face - it may be that the harder he tries to cover that scar the more it makes other features like his eye look strange, because he's never going to have a symmetrical face again. Put your fingers over the place where McCain's melanoma was removed and you can guess that scarring or muscle or nerve damage in that area would affect the movement of his eyelid. And that kind of damage is often progressive over the years.
A recurrence of melanoma causing the symptoms you all are describing seems a much less likely explanation than simple age-related eye issues and/or long-term consequences of having large amounts of tissue removed from one side of his face.

Perhaps if McShame were smoking a less weed, his eyes wouldn't be looking so strange. While I no problem with a little weed, when you belong to party that wants to deny it to everyone else, what can I say. In all seriousness, McCain is damaged goods. Between his PTSD and his cancer, what can one say?

I did a post on it, but I know others did as well. I didn't notice it on the interview. I have to have a second look at that. Thanks for the heads up.
