What did you think was going to happen between the conventions and November 4th?  If you're like me, you were expecting a wave of filth and smears that would have been difficult to overcome, because they had to drive Obama's numbers down.  They probably still will do a lot of that sort of muck.  But with the introduction of Palin into the election, we now have the opportunity to tie a big old anchor to McCain's tail.  His lack of judgment and proper vetting of this woefully unqualified person has left him wide open to questions about HIS suitability to lead.  I think if she was everything she looked to be on the surface, then right now we would be doomed by the same old forces of evil and apathy that tend to throw Presidential elections every damn time.  But behind the gloss and spunk of Palin lies a sewer full of greed, lies and tyranny and, because she was sprung on all of us and because they're keeping her hidden (big red flag that they're afraid she's not ready for prime time), the responsible media, in particular, and the blogosphere is doing the job of vetting her that was ignored by the very unqualified John McCain.  I don't think it's a slam dunk.  I wish it were.  Sarah gave them an opportunity by shaking things up.  Points to them.  Now Sarah gives us an opportunity to raise questios about McCain's judgment and qualifications that would have been unthinkable two months ago... you know, like how he's too OLD for us to risk him being replaced by this shoddy bag of tricks from Alaska.  I'm just thinking that we're going to see some turnaround on this as quick as the noise dies down.  And if all else fails, I'm moving to Alaska.  Did you hear how much money you get per year there after you've been a resident for a year?
