A Shrink for Piper Palin
I had to share this snippet from a report in the News Journal of Wilmington, Delaware, about Sarah Palin's badly received appearance at the Flyers hockey game in Philadelphia:
"The weirdest part of it was that Palin, who had to know she was going to be booed, walked out with her cutie pie 7-year-old daughter, Piper. Why do I have a feeling that poor Piper will be discussing being booed by thousands with a therapist in about 10 years?"

wow, interesting. Did she really think she would be boo'd... and then did she bring Piper out as a human shield to attempt to make herself more boo-proof. I would not be surprised.

It's still plenty shitty that people boo'd a little girl with her mother. Then again in the world of sports I've seen greater people boo'd for less. I'm just surprised she didn't slip on the ice.

But Piper had to know the boos were for her mother, not her...almost anybody with half a brain would, well, with the exception of Sarah P...

The wee lass will be fine. She just heard a lot of crowd noise. She does not yet know the difference.

That was the comforting thing for me, too. The girl was waving as they walked off, and I got the impression that she probably didn't discern the boos and just thought the whole thing was pretty exciting.

i saw the story on the huffpo about the "resounding (almost deafening) boos." i watched the video. yeah, there were boos. hard to tell the degree, though. i'll take lynn zinsner at her word for now.
the ap, on the other hand, had a diferent take, naturally. they report that the "gop vp candidate met mostly with cheers during ceremonial honor."
