I am constantly amazed at the wisdom of the Hive.
After buzzing around the Outsider food called "The McCain Homeowner Resurgence Plan," the Hive has decided it's not a good idea and it won't work.
Why?
Because Obama thought of it first.

Sure he means it. One of the good things about McCain is he doesn't have to be the smartest guy around.
What I wish he would incorporate in his platform next is outlawing pre-existing conditions clauses and discriminatory premiums in the health insurance industry.

I know. But there is a report now that argues that total number of uninsured that would get coverage under Obama v McCain plans differs by only 4 or 5 million people. The real difference is that Obama's plan is better for people with pre-existing conditions. McCain might be tempted to close that gap as we get nearer to Nov.

Yeah. Looks like it. Donal showed me a quote from a McCain adviser that says the same thing. The write-off would go to the taxpayers. Economides picked up on the issue also.
Still, these are hard times, and the McCain plan attempts to attack the underlying problem, the number of mortgages going into default. And it would bail out people still living in their homes. If it does nothing but force Obama and the Congress to offer an alternative plan for homeowners, it's a good thing.

Just your average Outsider actually. But not talking to me is an excellent idea. Hive members clutter up the thread, never recommend the post, and are usually rude or threatening.
My ideal thread would be one in which a couple of people who care what I think turn up and we chat a while, uninterrupted by Hive sign.

Look at the company you keep. You have liam, who threatens to turn people into the feds for "crimes" he imagines. You have clearthinker who is anything but. Ever notice how people give themselves names instead of demonstrating the quality? You have jade, who never met anyone who didn't agree with her that wasn't a racist. And any number of other anonymous and cowardly bullies who trash threads they don't agree with.

Being that TPM Cafe is a free and open forum, we then get to see what reaction it provokes in other readers, take your lumps, as it were. As I understand it, a "troll" is someone who is from the other side of the political spectrum attempting to make mischief by inciting rage in the population base of a political website. Since I am a libral and this is a libral website there is no way that I qualify as a "troll." Of course, since you very conveniently never declare a side, preferring your superiority in intellect to the rest of us, perhaps you mean that I am a "troll" to your treads because I actually take a position and espouse it, rather than provoking other people for your own amusement.
