For Your Consideration: Sarah Palin for Best An Oscar for Sarah Palin
And the Oscar goes to...that Main Street, moose-shootin', lipstick-wearin' gal, Sarah Palin!
Palin's "success" in the debate last night - as trumpeted by David Brooks at the NY Times this morning - proves one thing only: She can, when given weeks of intensive coaching and a script, deliver lines like a fairly good actress.
When she has to think for herself, however -- as happened in the Couric interviews -- she can't hide the truth, which is that she's incapable of understanding our modern, global, complex issues, let alone constructing a coherent sentence about them.
Let's put Sarah on Broadway or in Hollywood, people -- not in the White House.
