McCain Says 'So-Long' To The Motor City....

Courtesy of Jonathan Martin at Politico, the presidential campaign of Senator John McCain is suspending operations in Michigan...

"McCain will go off TV in Michigan, stop dropping mail there and send most of his staff to more competitive states, including Wisconsin, Ohio and Florida.   Wisconsin went for Kerry in 2004, Ohio and Florida for Bush.

McCain's campaign didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.

You mean McCuttin/Failin (R)

Where R stands for cheap Chinese paint that runs when the pressure is applied.

Awesome about Michigan. But what's up with Wisconsin?

Wisconsin in which regard?

Spread those troops out - WI, OH, and FL (I read NC somewhere else)

I suppose in McCain time, 32 days to E-Day is just another last minute adjustment when you are the Change that is Coming.

Sheesh - talk about completely yielding the message ground to your opponent. At this stage, every time someone sees that slogan, all they will be able to think about is Obama. Particularly after every Republican sneered at Change you can Hope for as if every Democrat was just another begging and dirty hippy with no perceived value.

I'm just curious why Wisconsin is a battleground for McCain at all. If states are trending in Obama's favor, I would have thought WI would be a lost cause for McCain by now (because I always think of WI—like its next-door neighbor MN—as having blue roots). I haven't been following Wisconsin since the primaries, and even back then I was surprised it went for Obama over Clinton. Is it legitimately contestable for McCain, or is that just McCain camp spin?

Sayafuckanara!!!
