Mon/Tues 2nd Chance Clearinghouse For Posts That Deserve Another Look Updated Daily (formerly Aggregate Post)

Note the new title...liam advised me that he didn't think people were looking at this post because they didn't understand the title. I agree, so we're changing it. Raider99 can change it back when he returns to duty (if he returns to duty!)

ANYWAY, this post is a clearing house for links to posts that flew by too fast, or didn't get the attention they deserved, or were too good to go away even if they made it to reader rec.

If you add a link, please give a brief description along w/ your reasons for why it deserves a 2nd look. ANYONE can add a link here.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE stop by everyday to rec this post, even if you don't add anything, or read anything on it...It only works if it gets up to
reader rec, thus making the posts available for longer.

Thanks, Guys...we've made it several days in a row  and had some good posts linked!

This is a great post from Boyd, regarding his work in Ohio, as well as Howard Wolfson's comments on the election being over...A very uplifting read.

When Deanie Mills speaks, people listen (or at least they should!) Another great post from her. They run long, but are worth every minute of the reading.

ArtAppraiser's post has a good link to interesting reading:

I would also include this encouragement to fund the Obama campaign:

I am recommending my own post not for the post itself, but for the comment I just added to it:

I think my comment speaks for itself.

I'm interested in the outcome, and if the shirt is still on.

What a shame about the shirt, but how totally cool is the money raised because of it? Way to go, G, way to go.

Here is an open letter to John McCain from an AZ resident and former supporter. It's really good, not on TPM but I thought some others might like to read it.

Forgive me if it's poor etiquette to put a link to a non-tpm blog here.

I read the linked "open letter" to John McCain. Let me tell you that although the letter voiced some vey logical, well evidenced criticisms of McCain, it has a rather inhuman tone.

For a real person to have been so impressed by a very personal previous interchange with McCain and to then completely reverse their deeply held opinions about John McCain as a person, dutifully articulating nearly every Obama indignation at Jhn McCains inevitable, predictable backed into a corner, now or never political attack style of last resort seem eerily rehearsed.

If this was a phony letter - one that was written or coached by a politically active Obama supporter or even an anonymous person pretending to be an Obama supporter caught red handed. The rightwingers would have a field day exposing phony indignation.

All I'm saying is beware of posting links to unkown writers whose motives can't be verified, just ask Dan Rather what happens when you don't verify.

Please rec this post:

http://tpmcafe.talkingpointsmemo.com/talk/2008/10/the-truth-about-obama-and-ayre.php

An important debate there is getting underway... and it's important for this community to take part.

I'm serious about rec'ing this post. Please do. It's not mine, but there will be many lessons learned from that thread.
