And the Washington Post Fact Checker said...

"Obama claimed that the government had invented the computer in order to encourage scientists to communicate. He probably meant the Internet."

But as you will see, there is already debate on this over there (scroll down) pointing out just how wrong WaPo got this one. For starters?

And who knows...a Harvard guy may have heard about this. (insert before Eniac if you prefer timelines.)

Imagine a giant roomful of noisy, clicking metal parts, 55 feet long and 8 feet high. The 5-ton device contained almost 760,000 separate pieces. Used by the US Navy for gunnery and ballistic calculations, the Mark I was in operation until 1959."

Again, if we're gonna get picky, dear media, get more correct than has happened in this election. Let's be more careful out there folks.
