Sarah Palin Intentionally Used Daughter Piper to Sheild Her From Boos
Tonight Sarah Palin tossed out the first puck at the home opener for the Philadelphia Flyers hockey team. When she was announced there were resounding boos from the crowd. Fox news (of all places) reports that at a fundraiser earlier in the day she said she knew there would be boos so she would bring Piper, her 7 year old daughter, with her to stifle them. Apparently it worked fairly well. If you watch the video of it you can hear the boos when she is first announced but immediately afterward her daughter was announced and walked out and the boos quieted. A quote from the Fox news post:
A carpet was laid down and Palin, dressed in a beige trench, walked on to the ice joined by her daughters Willow and Piper. The GOP Vice-Presidential nominee said at an earlier fundraiser that she would stop some of the booing from the rowdy Philadelphia fans by putting her seven year old daughter, Piper in a Flyers jersey. She said, “How dare they boo Piper!”
Has she no shame?

Obviously not. I've never seen a politician use their young children to buffer them this way. On this occasion, it would seem that Palin purposely used her 7 year old as a "human shield" at a hockey game to temper the reaction she would get from what she had been warned would be a rowdy audience. What if somebody threw an object and hit the little girl? Thank God they did not, but it was certainly a risk at a Flyers meet.

You are absolutely right. The last thing on most mother's minds is having their 7-year old daughter (or son) protect THEM! But more importantly to us is that she's running for the VICE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES!!! It must be shouted loud. Her decisions and judgement are so horribly flawed for a politician I can't say it enough. She's unprofessional and a coward. I can't wait until this power-hungry fool gets sent back to Alaska. And the way that sounds is that she'll get booed up there too.

The possibility for throwing something aside she knew there would be booing. But she eagerly exposes her 7 year old daughter to booing by a large crowd. What might that do to a 7 year old psyche?

LOL......
I don't blame her for using her daughter, for Hockey using her, and for he using Hockey.
They call it entertainment and if it sold some tickets, well OK.
Laughing, this is probably the extent of her qualifications?
