Troopergate Friday !!!
Careful forming that conga line kids. The moment you've been waiting for is almost here...
Troopergate Friday !!!
The day the Alaskan Legislature releases what appears to be its report on Sarah Palin's abuse of power scandal known as Troopergate.
But don't get too happy just yet.
Todd Palin responded to his subpoena. Sarah Palin blew it off. There may not be anything there worth getting excited over. And of course, if there isn't, expect her to gloat for quite some time about it.
She will still have her witch doctor, her race baiting and dog whistling, and many other things. So don't get too hyped up. Let's wait and see what we've got here first.

A legislative panel has scheduled a meeting for 9 a.m. Friday to receive Branchflower's report on Monegan's firing and whether Palin or members of her administration abused their powers in pushing for the dismissal of a state trooper involved in a child-custody fight with the governor's sister.

My understanding is that SP was never served. She had agreed to cooperate and it wasn't supposed to be necessary. Then things changed so they served Todd and everyone else but Sarah, who was left off for political reasons. She personally is not under subpoena.

Todd is trying to take the fall apparently saying that he talked to her staff and he was the one trying to get the guy fired. He said that he and Sarah are so 'close' and are 'best friends' and then he says he did all of this and she knew nothing about it...highly unlikely.
Here is the article about Todd Palin having unusual access to her staff: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/10/09/todd-palin-had-unusual-ac_n_133204.html
The fact that this guy has been called a 'shadow' governor and was apparently often present at her meetings on state business really bothers me. This is a couple I do not consider a great example for our country. Nor do I consider the McCain's a great example. In contrast we have the Obama's and the Biden's that appear to be excellent examples of marriage, family, and leadership. Both senator Obama and senator Biden are great men married to strong women.
