BIll Kristol Immune to Irony

"So I hope the best and the brightest who will be joining the new president will at least entertain the possibility that a lot of what they think they know is wrong."

"We're not in a civil war. This is just not true."

The U.S. can afford to "stretch our Army and Marines" for "another year or so" in Iraq.

Vouched for a "a ticket of Fred Thompson and David Petraeus" in 2008.

April 4, 2003 "

There's been a certain amount of pop sociology in America ... that the Shia can't get along with the Sunni and the Shia in Iraq just want to establish some kind of Islamic fundamentalist regime. There's almost no evidence of that at all. Iraq's always been very secular."

All this made me think the 2006 elections could result in a Speaker Pelosi. I now think that unlikely. Pelosi's endorsement today of the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq makes the House Democrats the party of defeat, the party of surrender. Bush's strong speech today means the GOP is likely to be--if Republican Congressmen just keep their nerve--the party of victory. Now it is possible that the situation in Iraq will worsen over the next year. If that happens, Bush and the GOP are in deep trouble. They would have been if Pelosi had said nothing. But it is much more likely that the situation in Iraq will stay more or less the same, or improve. In either case, Republicans will benefit from being the party of victory.

I could go on, and on and on....

This is What We're Up Against

And anytime you hear John McCain saying he "denounces" this stuff, remember it's BS. He may not believe this crazy stuff, but he is actively and knowingly stoking it. He "Doesn't care about some washed up terrorist" , yet will not stop talking about him and releasing ad saying that the African American candidate "pals around with terrorists" (plural mind you). He has speakers introduce him as "Barack Hussien Obama" but acts like he has nothing to do with it.

Using bigotry and hate is the only way he can climb back up in the polls and he knows it. And he has no problem with it. The man is a coward.

McCain Has Solved it All!

McCain's new ad is just fantastic.

This is my favorite part:

We need a new direction and I have a plan.

Savings? We'll rebuild them.

Investments? They'll grow again.

Wow! What a fantastic plan! No way Obama could have come up with that! That my friends, is called getting all mavericky and sh*t.

But he's not done, I heard a longer version is coming out and it has the following:

Cancer? I'll cure it.

Jesus? I'll make him walk the earth again.

The Remaining 24%...

Ever wonder who the remaining 24% of people are who still support President Bush? I've yet to meet one. That is, until one day last month in Denver at the Democratic Convention, I stumbled upon one....

Kinda says it all doesn't it?

Sarah Palin's Latest Stump Speech

If it wasn't for the twanging guitar, you could hear people screaming ""KILL HIM!!!!!"

A fist bump? A pound? A terrorist fist jab?

The 2012 Republican Ticket?

After watching the increasing amounts of vitriol and hate speech coming from the McCain/Palin KKK rally's, I have an idea for Republicans if they want to rally their base in 2012.
