McCain aides told CNN's Dana Bash Wurzelbacher would appear with the Republican presidential candidate at his first campaign event in Defiance, Ohio. But in what was slightly awkward moment for McCain, Wurzelbacher was nowhere to be seen when the Arizona senator called out for him. A campaign aide later said Wurzelbacher had "decided not to come"
Wurzelbacher also said he is headed to Philadelphia for a charity event unrelated to the campaign and has no plans to meet up with McCain today.
Wurzelbacher also said he had gotten an initial call about coming to the morning rally, "but no one called back to confirm," and was "not happy" that McCain had called out his name and he wasn't there.

In a Miami radio interview, Mc pegs up the BS conspiracy that the LA Times hasn't released a 2003 videotape said to depict Obama at some dinner event for the Professor of Arab Studies at Columbia University, Khalidi - in attendance.

"The Los Angeles Times refuses to make that videotape public. I'm not in the business of talking about media bias but what if there was a tape with John McCain with a neo-Nazi outfit being held by some media outlet? I think the treatment of the issue would be slightly different."

Now I ask AGAIN.....

One of these fund raising radical convicted felons, actually told Americans to take up arms and shoot federal employees and the FBI in the head... How does McCain respond to these disgusting,  illegal, and terrorist-esque statements by his friend? Less than a year ago - McCain went on the radio and personally and publicly praised the convicted felon. McCain said directly to him, "I'm proud of you...It's always a pleasure ....Congratulations on your adherence to the principles and philosophies that keep our nation great..." That's not America First Senator McCain. Thank you - and have a pleasant day."

Or is it best to just sit this one out -- and let folks like Letterman ask the tough questions....

He was 'Firery', & 'Looked at his opponent' ....

Lets just lay it out.

McCain is plunging in the polls - especially on who can handle the economy.
Palin reappears from her undisclosed location and give a fat clown turkey of an interview to Couric - and the McCain camp knows it.
Rick Davis's Fannie-Freddie Scandal - McCain camp up the creek, neck deep with the 15K a month paid until last month- and they know it. ALL will come out - and blaming reality is "in the tank" won't work.

Time for some Distraction. Get those Davis/Palin/Poll number stories off the headlines.
Campaign "Suspension" / Debate "Cancellation" / "All Hands On Deck".

Unbelievable.

Palin 25 days without.

Lack of confidence or got questions that need detailed answers? Forget it.
Need accountability and real straight talk? Maybe next year.

An absolute embarrassing disgrace.

So Palin visits home turf with Hannity this evening - and an early quote re: McCain's 'fundamentals' flak is out:

“It was an unfair attack on the verbiage that Senator McCain chose to use - He means our workforce. He means the ingenuity of the American people and of course that is strong and that is the foundation of our economy.”

First off - McCain has said this phrase about 20 times in the last year - never alluding to the ingenuity of the American people. In context, he has always used the statement when talking about the economy in general.

Mrs. Smiths 3rd grade class knows 'fundamentals' doesn't equal 'ingenuity of people'. But perhaps, this campaign is living in the 2nd grade.

Second - "Unfair attack?" - Please. We could go down the dirty laundry list of the McCain campaign whoopers and mud - but that would take all day...

Instead I just point again the the growing chorus of conservative columnists and editorials, who are finally calling out the McCain lies and dishonest distortions as the fact they are.

I wonder how many investigative policy questions Hannity will surprise Palin with.... Whoops, never mind - I forgot, the play yard bully is asking 2nd grade questions tonight.....
