Todd's Song to Sarah, Tonight
http://www.metacafe.com/watch/yt-nLMeKAmNiVU/lion_sleeps_tonight_hippo_and_dog/
Wee-ee-ee, oh wee-ee-ee-ee, oh we will find a way.....
Wee-ee-ee, oh wee-ee-ee-ee, oh we will find a way
In the YouTube, the mighty YouTube, the lyin' stops tonight
In the YouTube, the instant YouTube, the lyin' stops tonight
Heh heh!
A win away, a wink away, just slink away, a win away, another day, another way, another day, another way
A win away, a wink away, just slink away, a win away, another day, another way, another day, another way
Near the rally, the Palin rally, supporters cry tonight
Near the rally, poor Sarah's rally, her advantage died tonight
Heh heh!
A win away, a wink away, just slink away, a win away, another day, another way, another day, another way
A win away, a wink away, just slink away, a win away, another day, another way, another day, another way
Hush my darlin', don't fear my darlin', McCain is just a dope
Hush my darlin', don't blink my darlin', ya might still have a hope
Heh heh!
A win away, a wink away, just slink away, a win away, another day, another way, another day, another way
A win away, a wink away, just slink away, a win away, another day, another way, another day, another way

The time for convention interventions is over, heh.
Yeah, that's me, but WAY back in the day. I was about 15 in that picture, dressed up as a punk rocker for Halloween. Those were the days, my friend....but alas, they ended. The Clash still lives on, though.

Heh... you and your everlasting fantasies re The Clash. ;-)

Through the door, there came familiar laughter
I saw your face and heard you call my name
Oh, my friend, we're older but no wiser
For in our hearts, the dreams are still the same
Those were the days, my friend
We thought they'd never end
We'd sing and dance forever and a day
We'd live the life we'd choose
We'd fight and never lose
Those were the days, oh yes, those were the days

Hell, yeah! It's about time, you!
But wait....you have to rec my song first. Heh.
J/K. I can kid with you, now, right? You are my future bro-in-law and everything...

As Melissa knows, when my cell phone goes off, it plays "Sheena Is (a punk rocker)" by the Ramones.
My 19 yr old daughter has the same ringtone on her phone. :-)
Old punkers never die; we simply flash our AARP card for discount when we attend Rocky Horror Picture Show screenings.

So when I attend your wedding, am I allowed to greet everyone by singing, "How'dya do, I, see you've met my, faithful, handyman...."?

So long as I'm nearby as to follow-up with
"..he's just a little strung-out because, when you knocked, he thought you were the candyman"
Oh, and you have got to wear a corset. Preferably black. Although I guess we'd be cool with Magenta.

Fuckin' A! ;-)
Seriously... I should probably chill a bit with this. Melissa is going to bury a skillet in my skull when she reads this shit. ;-)
But -all bs aside- I am totally down with the present company doing The Time Warp after the wine glass is broken, and shouts of "Mazeltov!" ring out.

Oh. Shit!
Mom & Dad are home!!!
See? Didn't I say that's what she'd do?? ;-)

Lis, I'm glad you have a sense of humor - I'm afraid he'll never grow up. Then again, I have to say your inner child is quite active as well. Did I mention I love you both? ;)
And Michael? Don't ever change.

I guess you weren't kidding when you said you were leaving to compose a song! Good job.
Thanks for the invite to the live blog tonight. I had such a good time! What a night...I can almost taste the victory...no cockiness, I know 18 days is a lifetime in a political race, but I'd rather be us than them!

I'd rather be U.S. and DEM!
It was good to see you in the live blog, Still. Join us anytime we're there in the chat. Which isn't often enough.
I love writing song parodies...I swear I'm Weird Al's long lost meshugeneh cousin, only he doesn't recognize my last name, LOL.
I'm glad you enjoyed both the live chat, and my song. Thanks for voting Obama this year like me. Us former Pubs should hang out in a pub someday soon and drink a toast to the fact that we're them Dem's now.

That was a good time, though I had bad dreams afterwards. "The Yuengling and the Restless," I guess.
